![]() Played out constantly at what seemed like every party, event, or festival for years, this track not only gave us something to dance to but also a mission to embark on. So for this week’s Throwback Thursday I chose a song that nearly everyone in the electronic music scene should at least know.Īrguably Swedish House Mafia‘s biggest hit, “Save The World” helped break the barrier that had been put up between electronic music and terrestrial radio. With the current state of affairs of the world in mind and the constant things that arise seemingly every single day that affect or put down many in the scene, I think it is important to remember that together we can create a beautiful tomorrow. Swedish House Mafia - Save The World Tonight (Previews) Moderator woensdag, maart 16 Steve Angello recently dropped the new Swedish House Mafia single on the Future Music Festival. This drop sounds really amazing once again and with the vocals its just about perfect. While many artists are creating sounds that still push that message of togetherness and that uplifting feeling that brings us together, it definitely has been less pronounced as of late. Over time, the message of the scene shifted in different directions as it grew into the behemoth that it is today. While many tunes embodied that message, none made that as clear as Swedish House Mafia‘s massive track, “Save The World”. The era was defined by tracks that featured melodies that were infectious and spread that mantra that we as ravers could come together to truly change the world. Something that I miss about the era of electronic music in which Swedish, progressive house dominated the soundscape was the absolutely uplifting, positive message that came with the music. We’re taking it back to 2011 this week with Swedish House Mafia’s hit track, “Save The World”!
